I watched the victory speech made by Barack Obama in awe. This Black man is comfortable in his own skin and won the primary by a significant margin in a state with an African American population of 2.5 percent. Was it the Oprah factor or is America really ready to put a Black man in the White House?
What I really want to know is will Black folks support Obama with their contributions and votes? Hear me out now. Magic Johnson, Maya Angelou, Quincy Jones, Mrs. Jesse Jackson and a host of other Black dignitaries have tossed their hat in the ring with Hillary Clinton. Obama is behind in the
Will folks validate a comment made by a Caucasian acquaintance of mine who said, "White folks will never be as hard on Blacks as they are on each other." Are Black folks holding Barack Obama to a higher standard?
I believe African Americans need to investigate what the man stands for particularly as it relates to the economy. This mortgage and credit crisis has impacted African Americans more severely because of the large numbers who were lured into buying homes with zero down and adjustable rate mortgages. WWOD -- What would Obama do to right this situation? Obama's Web site says, he "will crack down on fraudulent brokers and lenders. He will also make sure homebuyers have honest and complete information about their mortgage options, and he will give a tax credit to all middle-class homeowners. Check out where he stands on the issues at http://origin.barackobama.com/issues/economy/#home-ownership
Black America, it's time to vote with your pocket book and to kick the emotions to the curb!

I must speak on how I feel. I have been watching Mr BO on tv for the past few days. For once he brought trust and hope in my heart again. I'm 65 and seen a lots of mis-trust and dis-trust. I say that to say this, no one on this earth can't tell me BO didn't win last night. Only time things happen like this is when something is not right. And something smells just like in Fl. with Gore and Bush. Last night for a split second I saw Obama in the lead three times and each time it shocked me. This morning the first thing I saw was Obama on the winning number amount again. This tells me that we are going to get robbed with both of our eyes open again. It's just too sad we can't beleive what we see nor hear anymore.

Big Mistake Here:"The reason that I am in support of the Clinton's is because when they were in office, the economy was in much better shape than it is now."
Muddled thinking, honey. "Now" was caused by the spend-thrift presently in office who borrowed three billion that we will have to pay back to the Chinese after he leaves office.
The former first lady does not necessarily have the ability that her hubby applied at a time when it could be done but some rather selfish Republicans in key states were doing their "me-first" thing, surreptitiously, with bad state policies. I'm not saying that New Hampshire is a bad state but it is as Republican As Pennsylvania;N.H. had a Republican governor and two Republican senators, and two Congresspersons trying to offset that just as we had try in Pennsylvania, the state with the "killer" mainline city of Philadelphia. You might ask why.
In other words, when it came down to it, the average voters in New Hampshire voted "conservative"; they were not as ready for change as were Iowans who made Hillary cry. Make her cry some more; vote Obama while you can.

I am sooo Readyyyy for Obama! I agree with his platform. He makes good sense to me. So what if he went to Harvard. If you didn't attend a HBC then you attended a white college (if you attended a college at all.) After all, isn't that what the melting pot and affirmative action all about?

New Hamp was a TIE ! Take note good folks....the battle is just beginning and Obama is leading. In fact, both Hillary and Obama received 9 delegates each yesterday in N.H. which is a tie ! In an all white state. That's incredible !! The media's desire to make this a horserace doesn't explain that fact. Now take note and beware of the black 'leaders' who will start to shoot their what I call 'black on black slime' at Obama because they have been bought by Billary. These so-called black leaders who will be trying to lead us right back into the hands of the white man (woman) should be ashamed, outed and ignored.

HAILLL NO! ... Obama hasn't said a word for Black people. He knows he has to be trusted by a white conservative America, in order to be President. Therefore, he's likely to be another Uncle Clarence Thomas. Even Hillary, whom I can't stand, is better than a Negro with nothing but white intentions.

I have not decided on who to vote for but I am concerned that I am expected to vote for Obama just because we are both black. I hear too many people saying they are going to vote for him either because he is black or likeable. I like a lot of people who happen to be black but they wouldn't make the best presidents. A few years ago I worked at a job that had its first black leader. We were so excited because we assumed that this black person was going to have our best interests at heart. He spent more time trying to distance himself from black issue because he didn't want it to appear like we were favored. It hurt us more than it helped us. I would love to see a black president in this lifetime. However, I haven't heard Obama say anything that he was going to specifically do to help the black community. Just being the black president isn't going to help me if I still have to pay $100 per week to gas my car or watching my neighbors losing their homes.

Blacks may not endorse him;not because they researched his beliefs, education, morals and what he can do for America, but jealousy. He's a black success and you think that would be a good thing. NO, NOT AMONG BLACKS! He has to be a sell-out, acting white and a number of other foolish set backs. The jealous minority anthem: "if i couldn't make it nobody should". So yes, dont judge a book by its color give the man a chance and stop hating. Im not saying vote for him because he's black but find out about him first. You know how you do a white person. The Clintons were ashame in the whitehouse the first round. Why would we want his weak wife running the country? She was humiliated in front of the world and stayed as if nothing ever happened. Her husband is a liar, cheat and alot of other adjectives. So, is that all we can associate with. CMON
