It's true, these are very tough times. Take the example of Beaulah Barton. She was enjoying her retirement in the quintessential adult community better known as Florida when her daughter lost her job.
Expressing the epitome of love and family support, Barton went back into the workforce full-time to pay her daughter's mortgage until she finds a job.

Will we see more of this in the near future?

I think that is beautiful.I would do it for my children and I would hope that they would do the same for me.

That was a selfless deed that Mrs Barton did for her family. May God bless all of them.
If McCain wins the election I'm afraid we will see more of our hard working seniors come out of retirement and many more unable to ever enjoy retirement nad the fruits of their labor.

No disrespect intended. But,I would not allow my 70 year old mother to come out of retirement to pay my mortgage. I would work three jobs before I would accept an offer like that. That's my opinion and I'm entitled to it!

This is beautiful. As a mother and grandmother this inspires me to do all I can to keep myself physically and mentally fit so that I would be able to do the same thing if necessary. God Bless her!

no, we never allowed our mom to work not at age 60,70 and now at age 82 because the work force is cruel and unjust...its also heart brakingly understandable not wanting her daughter to lose her home....i salute you mom at age 70, your my hero..thank you so much.......
