It's true, these are very tough times. Take the example of Beaulah Barton. She was enjoying her retirement in the quintessential adult community better known as Florida when her daughter lost her job.
Expressing the epitome of love and family support, Barton went back into the workforce full-time to pay her daughter's mortgage until she finds a job.

Will we see more of this in the near future?

I would love to return to work. Where are the positions for seniors? Children need to see an independent thought in this area. Why not start a home based business early in a child's life. We need to Stop going out to earn our incomes. Stay home and work with what you have, especially if you have the health care coverage. After all How do you think things get started if you and I don't start things. Make your own things happen...Think about how to earn an extra $100 a day. Children will learn how to become more self sufficient.

Are you nutz ? There is NO WAY I would allow my Mother to go back to work because I lost my job. Just to pay the house payment ! She worked to hard for too long to have to go to work to pay on MY house. Absolutely NOT ! Let the friggin bank have it. The odds are I will have to move out of the area anyway. They just made the decision to move easier.

God Bless You, My Mom is 87 and if she could she would do the same for her children. I would do the same for mine no questions asked. What a wonderful new meaning to the word MOTHER! You are the woman that is spoken of in the Book Of Proverbs 31:25 thru 31. May you be richly Blessed in all you do!

Whats wrong here. Why would the daughter allow her 70 year old mother go back to work to pay HER mortgage. That is so selfish. It is just plain wrong.

It is Indeed A blessing from God to be physical and mentally able to continue your persuit your goals and to furfill them. I turned 70 years of age this year.Iwas suprise when I enter college 20 years ago that there were so many people hair was grey. To day at age 70 I am suprise to see more elders in the work force. I think this is a good thing. It tell people that just because your age has advanced you don't have to retire to the rocking chair.I have set my goals for the next 15 years. That is if i live to the ripe age of 85. Therefore in the mean time there is no slowing down for me . It is full speed ahead for me.
