If Tiger Woods were to quit the game of golf, a long list of people stand to lose hundreds of millions of dollars. Here's the short list:
1) The PGA Tour: The number of viewers in tournaments in which Tiger Woods appears is more than 100% greater than the number of viewers when Tiger is not in contention. Tiger transcends the game of golf, bringing viewership from people like me, who have no interest in watching the same old guys doing the same old thing. His level of play, along with the "color" he brings to the sport is virtually unprecedented.
2) Tiger Woods himself: Over 90% of the billion dollars Tiger has earned throughout his career has come from corporate sponsorships. Leaving the game of golf not only steals Tiger's primary method for rehabilitating his image, it also implies that companies will walk away. I fully expected Tiger to earn another two billion dollars before he was done playing. This can't possibly happen if he walks away.
3) The Nike Corporation: Nike has invested well over $100 million dollars in Tiger Woods, and their entire golf division is dependent upon his success. If Tiger quits playing golf, then Nike shareholders are going to feel the heat. The executives with the closest relationships with Tiger Woods are going to have to start from ground zero.
There are a multitude of other entities that will feel the financial pinch if Tiger Woods quits playing golf. Television networks who've made long-term deals with the PGA are going to experience financial losses, and even our nation is going to lose the chance to see the man who changed his game more than any other athlete in American history. If Tiger does leave the sport, it is my greatest hope that it's only temporary. Either way, there has never been a golf course to challenge Tiger the way his wife is challenging him now. Golf has been, to this point, Tiger's reason for living. The unfolding saga is amazing.

You watch Tiger for one reason, because you think he is black. He is not he is an American. He make you feel like you are better then white people, when he beats them on the golf course. Golf will never miss someone like you, you are what makes golf bad and there is very little about golf that is bad.

Stop commenting on golf, you know nothing about it. The only interest you have in it is Tiger, bet you couldn't name 3 tour golfers, without looking it up. What color does he bring to golf, the red shirt he wears on Sunday? Are you so stupid to think he will quite golf altogether? His problem lately, which brought this situation out was playing too much. The last thing he needed to do at this point in his career was to go to Australia and play in the Australian Masters. Winning that means nothing to him. If you knew anything about golf you would know that the only two goals now are record number of major championships and PGA tour wins. It is obvious that he went to Australia for something other then golf. But you only think about race and not facts.

By the way, Tigers inspiration to be the best golfer came from Jack Nickolas. If he had to find a person of color to become involved in golf he would have never accomplished what he has. He idolized JN because of his achievements in golf not his color. The 2 records he is going after are held by 2 of the same old guys doing the same old things were, Jack and Sam Snead with out them there would be no Tiger.

Probably best for everyone if Tiger and his wife call it a game and move on in different directions. I can't imagine she could ever trust him again, and without golf his net worth is below par. As long as he doesn't lose contact with his kid's he can join the ranks of the happily divorced. He can go out and have all the women he wants, and as beautiful as Elin is, she won't be sitting by the phone hoping someone will ask her out. If all else fails, they could hook up with Chris and Greg. Four!
