Whether a one-night hook-up or a long-running romance, a relationship without marriage rarely requires lawyers.
Why call in a legal expert unless there's a pre-nup to negotiate, a will to write or a divorce to handle?
Tiger Woods's sex life, on the other hand, has been a holiday gift to lawyers from one U.S. coast to the other, and overseas, too.
Of course he hired a criminal defense lawyer, Mark NeJame, after the car crash that broke open his secrets. He exercised his right to remain silent when police sought him out, most probably on advice of counsel.
But when more than a dozen alleged paramours emerged, the legal issues grew more interesting.
Woods's London lawyers won a court order this month barring British news organizations from publishing what purported to be nude photos of Woods but which his legal team claimed didn't exist.
More lawyers no doubt were called in when companies that pay the formerly squeaky-clean Woods to endorse their products no longer wanted to associate with him.
And you can bet whatever Woods says these days, which isn't much, has been vetted by attorneys.
But what about all those women? Some have enlisted counsel, too, and you have to wonder why... Rumors of hush money float about in tabloids and on celebrity gossip Web sites.
Lawyers for the car crash, lawyers to deal with losing endorsements, (allegedly) lawyers to pay the hush money, lawyers to stop nude photos from being published... Wow! At hundreds of dollars an hour, Tiger Woods, Inc. will be putting out quite a bit of quid for months to come in attorneys' fees.
People are debating whether Elin should get half of Tiger Woods' earnings due to his outrageous cheating. Well, Elin better hurry up and divorce Tiger, before his lawyers take it all! Sorting out the aftermath of Woods' alleged affairs could be an unending process.

Please allow Tiger Woods to gather his thoughts and not be criticized. As human beings we all make mistakes. Tiger will get with his higher God and ask for forgiveness as we all do. Allow him to share his time with God as he's doing.
May God Bless Tiger and his family.

Yes, In this day and age no one is expected to
honor their marriage vows. The poor guy, just
leave him alone. What did you expect? A nice Moral
family oriented father? Does he expect everything
he feels like doing because of all his money?
The society of people want others to be all
moral, honest, respectable, but its different, if
its you, right? Why do you think this guy should be different?

Tiger is young, gifted, and black 3 dangerous combinations not to mention filthy rich. It amazes me how the audiences of tiger woods feel sorry for this cat! Hell tiger did what he very well pleased himself to do. His biggest sin in this cascade of errors that he has made has been PRIDE...Pride is the disease of the heart and mind that simply says big, bold, and without fear, I AM MY OWN GOD AND I CAN DO WHATEVER IT IS THAT I FEEL LIKE I WANT TO DO AND NO MAN CAN STOP ME! I OWN THE WORLD....I myself personally am upset with everyone that saw the road that tiger was driving on and failed and i do mean failed to cause some sort of detour for him. The same thing with former President Bill Clinton, someone had to see the handwriting on the wall. At any rate I pray that depression and other more life altering habits do not find him at a time such as this and I pray that the God that made Him will be the same God that watched Him ruin His 1st chance at a good life and SAVE him.

At 82 years young, I have been a golf nut all my life. Caddied in the late 30's and early 40's. Have seen almost every major on TV and have
watched several tournaments in person. The reason I love the sport so much, is that it always has two things that I highly respect, honesty and integrity. Without a doubt, Tiger will go down in history as probably the best of all "golfers'. But, when all is considered, he will never compare to the likes of Nicklaus, Palmer,Playerand dozens of others-he has forever tarnished his image in the eyes of supposedly the four most cherished people in his life: Elin, their two children and his mother. He will play golf again and will win tournaments, but for many they will only be hollow victories.

Those celebrity golfers that you mentioned probably committed adultery just like Tiger, but were very discreet and did not get caught by the media. Over the course of their lifetime, they probably had several women and their wives even knew about it. It did not get in the media and caused a scandal. They were protected. The truth of the matter is that, in the eyes of God, they are no better than Tiger. They are guilty of gross sins. Some of them were probably worst than Tiger and had even more women. Some of these women could have even gotten pregnant, but could not have the babies, because the fathers were celebrity golfers. There are so many scenarios of how gross wrong doings were committed. So lets not start casting stones. Also, I wonder, if Tiger was not married to a white female, would his acts of adultery be viewed as such a terrible scandal?

This is what can happen when you are famous and you mess up. Period.

Tiger Woods money problems don't belong on Black Voices. He made it clear he did not consider himself black, which is his choice and fine by me. His white lawyers, whores, prostitutes and baby sitter wife can take every dime he has for all I care. This is a non issue for black Americans. Black Americans have real issues to be concern about and this is not one of them.

I agree with you David! African-Americans have more important issues to address than this person who has repeatedly denied his heritage. But I'm sure he's feeling pretty B-L-A-C-K right about now. If not, I'm sure he will by the time the white media, his white wife, her white lawyers, and his own white lawyers finish with him.
