RE: 1) Give all church tithes for one month to Haiti
LOL!!!
These churches are not about financially helping people. After they get through with their building-related expenses and paying the pastor/bishop to live like an executive, there isn't much, if anything, left to actually help people.
Good try though.
I will say this. The Holy Bible says that people who have are the ones who are supposed to be givers. Starting with the people who have an abundance. These churches teach that everyone is supposed to be a giver. Not true. People suffering financial difficulty are supposed to be receiving assistance from those with abundance. Most people have not studied enough to learn this. That is why people in lack are deceived by the false doctrines of tithing and giving offerings as it is currently taught.

YOU COULD NOT HAVE SAID THIS ANY BETTER. FOR I AM A WIDOW INDEED AND MY SON IS IN PRISON. UNTIL TODAY I HAVE NEVER HAD NOT ONE CHURCH HELP ME OR MY SON AND THEY ARE ALWAYS ASKING ME TO GIVE. IF I GIVE TO ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE MONEY GRABBING BEAING AND CHEATING TITHE BEGGING MAN MADE CHURCHES, WHICH BY THE WAY NOW CALL THEMSELVES BUSINESSES DON'T YOU KNOW! YOU CAN SAY THIS SISTER HAS TRULY LOST HER MIND AND IS NOW DEEMED AS CRAZY OKAY. THESE MONEY GRABBING BACK STABBING SO-CALLED PREACHERS ARE MOST DEFINITELY PREACHING THE TRUTH WHEN IT COMES TO GIVING. AND HAVE THEIR CONGREATIONS SO LOST AND UNLEARNED AND SIMPLE UNTIL IT IS A DOWN RIGHT SHAME BEFORE GOD. EVERYONE AND I DO MEAN EVERYONE NEEDS TO PICK UP THEIR BIBLES AND START TO READING AND ASKING THE HOLY SPIRIT TO TEACH YOU THE TRUTH ABOUT GIVING. FIRST OF ALL TITHING IS NOT EVEN MEANT FOR YOU. IT WAS MEANT FOR THE JEWS. JESUS SIMPLY CAME AND SAID TO SET ALL MEN FREE FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW. "THAT YOU SHOULD GIVE FREELY A WILLING HEART AND SPIRIT, AND AS THE LORD HAS PROSERED YOU. NO WHERE BUT TWO PLACES IN THE NEW TESTMNT DID THE BIBLE TALK ABOUT TITHES AND THAT IS IN THE BOOK OF LUKE, AND HEREWS AND NIEHTER ONE OF THOSE PASSAGES TELL THE BELIEVERS TO GIVE TITHES OKAY! SO PEOPLE PLEASE GET FREE AND STAY FREE AND STOP ALLOWING THESE GREEDY NO-GOOD PREACHERS DUPE YOU INTO BLEIVEING YOU WILL BE CURSED IF YOU DON'T GIVE THEM AND YES THEM YOUR TITHES.

I called 888 256 1900 (US Govt agency name escapes me right now) and was able to make a contribution using my Visa/MC. Give it a call. The nice receptionist gave me her name of operator # and is mailing my tax-deductible receipt. God bless the Haitian people.

Dr. Boyce,
You simply amaze me. You have no concept of Biblical mores and customs. Your tithes are not to be split...If I'm going to give, I will give ABOVE my tithes. I will give my OFFERINGS to Haiti, thank you very much. Stay in you lane, Dr. Boyce, stay in your lane. You just made yourself God by telling folk what to do. Emotion always
gets us in trouble. Folks who are in these churches where their tithes, offerings and other giving become suspect should switch churches. Wisdom is the priniple thing and along with
wisdom...understanding!
Kingdavidlives, it's pointless.

If you are uncomfortable with giving to your church, please consider giving to well-established organizations such as the Red Cross. I urge you to contribute whatever you can, however small to help provide some measure of relief to our brothers and sisters in Haiti. Despite the poor conditions that prevail in this country, please be reminded that Haiti is the very first black republic in the world (defeated the French colonial power in 1805, thereby putting a definite end to slavery – the only black country to do so). The country has participated in the war for independence of the United States and welcomed with open arms african-americans fleeing slavery and segregation. Please remember your black brothers and sisters, as we are all interconnected. Imagine Katrina only 5 times worse! They are in dire straits and need your help and solidarity. Whatever amount, however small will help. Thank you.

NINA: I KNOW YOU MEAN WELL AND THE RED CROSS MAY BE WELL ESTABLISHED. BUT JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE WELL ESTABLISHED AS YOU SO PUT IT. I THINK SOMEONE HAS TO CHECK AND BALANCE THEM AS WELL. THERE ARE STILL PEOPLE ORGANIZING THE RED CROSS AND WHEREVER YOU HAVE PEOPLE YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE SOME TEMPTATAION GOING ON OKAY. SO MY SUGGESTION IS TO BE LED BY THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IN OUR GIVING AND HELPING. HE WON'T LEAD US WRONG AND IF ANY UNETHICAL PRACTICES GO ON AFTER THAT, THEN ALL OF THOSE WHO DID THEM WILL HAVE TO ANSWER TO GOD FOR THEMSELVES. THAT IS MY BELIEF. MAY GOD BLESS HAITI AND ALL WHO ARE HELPING IN ANY WAY.

Trudy: I'm all for being led by the spirit of the Lord when it comes to giving. I was merely responding to the person who commented that he did not trust the churches to send the money where it is needed by suggesting an alternative mode of donation, among many. Whatever relief organization you give to, there is no doubt that some of the money will be used to cover their administrative needs. That's just a reality. If one wants to help provide aid to haitians in need, the best way at present time is to donate to an organization that you trust, be it church-based or otherwise. Or to physically go down there and lend a hand if you are a nurse or physician, because they sure can use the help right now. To do absolutely nothing is not a viable option. That being said, I am a christian and I agree with putting God first. But for those who are of another religion/denomination or who are not religious at all, there are decent organizations through which they can give

She would help(US) by planting her fat nappy ass down there permanently. Just how do you go about rebuilding a shit hole. They’re already drooling over the prospects of skids of KFC and Kool-Aid on the tarmac. This is better than its been for those animals for over two centuries. They’re all waiting for the refrigerators and AX travel cheques to begin falling out of the sky. “We don no fone””We don no foo””We don no wata”, yeah well how is any different from the way these animals have been existing for the last fifty years. Dey don ave dis an don ave dat .. But they shure a shit know what buttons to push to start the gravy train. This is what happens when you free animals. And comparatively, boiling our negroes was the best thing we ever did for them .. toughened them … look how well they fared in Katrina(I had absolutely had no idea they floated like that). Earthquake had nothing to do with it … that’s how those animals live … why wasn’t DR even touched … they’ve got bulldozer lined up along the border to flush that entire piece of shit down the hole. Hey a tsunami is still not been completely ruled out … lets keep praying.
How is it that in all of the news footage it is only whites that are doing anything productive and the shiftless niggers are, as usual, listlessly standing about. Now that these animals have declared open season on the so called aid(they’ve already looted the UN food stores) the US in all of its glorious stupidity refuses to call these animals the wanton hedonistic rabble scum they are and has actually allowed itself to be placed in a position wherein it is perceived to have accepted diplomatic responsibility for a “failure to respond”. Unsatisfied with this trampling, kinta kunta Obama has widened further the gapping hole in the US Treasury coffers so that carpetbaggers the likes of papa Aristide can ensure their due. That’s right, since the announcement of the haitian money grab that is the emergency response aid, this mange ridden mutt has a announced his return from exile in the world’s other shithole, South Africa. It seem that he just cant get enough of a good thing. If there is a God I pray that he finished what hes’s begun … open the casm and flush that outhouse.

There are plenty of web sites dedicated to pointy-hooded idiots just like you. Why don't you avail yourself of their "services" and join a forum designed for dum, ignorant, unneducated, evil dum hicks like you instead of wasting valuable space here on Black Voices? As for the unfortunate situation that prevailed in Haiti before the earthquake, let me drop a little bit of history by you (although I doubt that someone with the intellect the size of a pea can absorb any real knowledge, I will attempt to anyway). The reason that Haiti is so poor in the first place is that they dared to drive the French slave owners out on their flat, pale asses for the world to see (1804). Subsequently, the western nations (including the US), embittered by the knowledge of having lost the most plentiful colony of the caribbean and at the hands of black men and women, no less, put the country under economic embargo, effectively isolating it from its neighbours and strangling any attempt at trade. Furthermore, the US, fearing the influence of neigbouring Cuba and the prospect of communism taking hold in the country, became ardent supporters of the many despotic governments that took control of the island for decades and facilitated their longevity, hence the present day situation. Not to mention american contribution to our landscape in the form of radioactive waste dumped right there on the beaches that has brought cancer and blindness to the local population of the Northern part of the island. President Obama is a man of integrity who is trying to do the right thing and extend a hand in compassion to people who are in dire straits. Furthermore, he is providing help because he knows full well that the US cannot afford to lose control over the region. He is defending american interests and by doing so, your dum, stinky pancake ass as well. But then again, I don't expect a retarded individual such as yourself to understand any of this. And where I choose to sit my beautiful, round ebony derriere will not be dictated by the minion of Satan that you are. Keep up the "Hail Hitler" bullshit in the woods and disappear, you dum F*ck.

Whyy hold back on the items theses people need to live until theyy riot for it . Then blame them for rioting.
I bet it wouldn't take all this prep work to bomb them. Just drop the food and water and let them know more is coming so they won't have to fight over it. You can drop food to animals but not to starving dying humans until all your requirements are met for security, travel, etc. Maybe it is just your need to keep the money coming that drives you. Maybe that is it, after all why even put a price on this stuff when the people don't have any money and what is donated is only going to those that already have.
