It's irrelevant wheather Wyclef misused the funds or not, the bottom line is, unless we educate the Haition people to properly manage their country in terms of birth control, proper sanitation, recycling, and conservation all this money that is being raised will be a complete waste of time, and the money will most likely end up back in the hands of the dictators that created this mess in the first place. It's great that money is pouring in from people of the world but, at the same time we must make sure that the money will benenfit Haiti forever..not just a few years!!

I find it sad that Solomon and Mookm988 are ready to degrade the Haitian people based on what they see on TV. "The Haitians need to be taught......", "If you don't want to be told what and how to do things then to hell with you."I think if you read a little you would find a lot of truth in what Sherley was trying to tell you. Sometimes the truth is more than what the eyes see.

Dear Solomon:
I am a Hatian American and I can assure you that my brothers and sisters in Haiti don't need you to educate them about sanitation and running our own country.Haitians have not had a chance to run their own country in the last 100 years the US, the IMF and World Bank have been running Haiti. We know about birth control, but don't have the money to purchase it. We know about sanitation also. Haitians need assistance but they don't need to be patronize and treated like children who need constant adult supervision from Uncle sam.

sometimes when you ask for help, you have to accept help in always. If you people feel like you can make it without the help of the United States well don't accept it and continue to do as you always have, fail and be poor

You know what I really don't care what he has done in his country but while he is in our country, United States that is what matters and he is a crook. I am 100% black american and I wouldn't live in Haiti even if I was promised money because regardless of what is said on here aby so called haitians, the country is poor and very nasty. I wouldn't survive a day in Haiti because of the filth. you got so many haitian americans on here defending the way of life there, why did they rush to our country to live,oh yeah they wanted to live.

Dr. Boyce Watkins, do you think it's ok that Wyclef GOT PAID an appearance fee from his own charity organization ($100,000). That means he could not donate his own time (without pay) for his own charity, but we should DONATE our money? Does this sound morally correct to you sir?

Wyclef paid his band and background singers for the concert in the total amount of $100,000. Maybe you idiots should check before you spout off so ignorantly.
