The declining economy has put many Americans in financial jeopardy, especially those in the black community -- but, there are top job hunting sites out there that can help you find gainful employment and a fresh lease on your economic life. Here is a list of 10 job search engines that can help you find the employment you've been dreaming about, while networking with other job seekers in the meantime. Although it is difficult to create a list solely based on features, because job seekers tend to look for different things, these top employment websites are a great place to start your search.

1) CareerBuilder.com - This top job website has been around since 1995 and now gets 23 million visitors per month. The network is amazing.

2) Craigslist.com - This is a great top job listings site, if you are looking for local jobs. Because many small businesses may not list on Career Builder, you may be able to find independent employment opportunities here.

3) Indeed.com - This top job hunting site aggregates top jobs from other employment sites. This is a good place to go if you want to see what is on other top job hunting sites without signing up for a large number of job search engines.

4) Monster.com - This top job listings site is one of the granddaddies of job listing engines. Monster has the most job listings in America, and quite a few functional features. It also allows you to block your resume from being seen by your current employer. However, the site has the downside of attracting quite a few garbage postings, which can waste your time.5) Simplyhired.com - This jobs site has the benefit of allowing you to post your resume to multiple sites. It is also designed to allow you to do some social networking. The downside is that this job hunting site doesn't let you post your resume directly.

6) BilingualCareer.com - This is a great site for bilingual job hunters. You can post your resume and find jobs that allow you to use your language skills.

7) CareerJournal.com - This top job search engine not only allows you to search for jobs, it also gives you articles and resources to help with your search. The best way to find employment is to learn from others who've been in your same predicament.

8) The Job Box - This is a top jobs site for those in high school or college. Most of the work is part-time or seasonal in nature.

9) Jobzerk - This site is a free resource which allows job seekers to interact in a community with others seeking work or looking for workers. You can learn from others who are looking for top jobs and post information on yourself that employers might find interesting.

10) NationJobNetwork - This top jobs site has an email service that you can use to have job listings sent to you. The network is nation-wide, with thousands of employment listings.

Let us know if this list of top job search engines works for you, and if you have found other additional online resources to help you in your employment search. It's tough out there, but the power of the Web can help you more than ever to reach even difficult goals.
