Former NBA Star Dennis Rodman Starts New Career

Former NBA star Dennis Rodman has long been known for his theatrical antics and big-time party ways. Now he's cashing in on that reputation -- and his apparent music skills -- by launching a new career.

Rodman is becoming a Celebrity DJ. He's slated to appear at night clubs all over the world starting April 23, 2010 at Ultra 88 Nightclub in the Mohegan Sun.

Rodman actually used to run a popular nightclub in Newport Beach, CA, called Josh Slocum's. And it was there that the ex-baller honed his DJ skills, spinning for party-goers and working the crowd.
For his new gig, Rodman is teaming up with a good buddy of his, DJ Vic Latino.

After the duo jam at the Mohegan Sun, they head to Louisville, during the weekend of the Kentucky Derby. In Louisville, Rodman will spin at a place called Derby Pretty.

I guess Rodman has decided that, if he's going to party anyway, why not get paid in the process?

Last year, he spent his birthday on May 16th in the U.S. and Canada, promoting a new drink from Bacardi. No telling what he'll do for this year's B-day. But if you want to find out, follow him on Twitter at @dennisrodman.
