Tiki Barber's Divorce Battle Gets Uglier: Wife Accused of Nasty Deeds

Tiki Barber must have a lot of loyal friends. They are speaking to the media about his divorce battle with his wife, Ginny, claiming that she is trying to suck Barber dry financially, while spending money like it's going out of style. Barber's friends are also saying that his estranged wife is obsessed with smearing him for leaving her for a young woman he met while working for the 'Today' show.

According to the New York Post, a friend of Barber claims that "Ginny wants $150,000 per month from him in alimony. In due time, if Tiki was dumb enough to give her that amount, he would be broke."

The friend also claims that Ginny hired a nurse for $60,000 per month and that her legal bills have grown to $75,000 a month. The Daily News claims that another well-placed source confirmed the numbers and that Barber's $300,000 job with NBC was part of the fallout of the smear campaign.

The rep for Barber's wife claims that the $150,000 per month alimony report is "categorically untrue. That number is completely and utterly ridiculous." The rep also said, "She does not even have a nanny.''

The divorce is not a good look for Barber, who has far more to lose than his ex-wife. Also, given that they delivered twins just a month ago, he does appear to be a man abandoning his family when they need him the most. All the while, it must be remembered that none of us knows what happened in this relationship, so making him into the absolute villain for not wanting to be married is ultimately incorrect.
