Tiki Barber must have a lot of loyal friends. They are speaking to the media about his divorce battle with his wife, Ginny, claiming that she is trying to suck Barber dry financially, while spending money like it's going out of style. Barber's friends are also saying that his estranged wife is obsessed with smearing him for leaving her for a young woman he met while working for the 'Today' show.

According to divorce papers from 2007 "The marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken."
Celebrity Breakups
According to the New York Post, a friend of Barber claims that "Ginny wants $150,000 per month from him in alimony. In due time, if Tiki was dumb enough to give her that amount, he would be broke."
The friend also claims that Ginny hired a nurse for $60,000 per month and that her legal bills have grown to $75,000 a month. The Daily News claims that another well-placed source confirmed the numbers and that Barber's $300,000 job with NBC was part of the fallout of the smear campaign.
The rep for Barber's wife claims that the $150,000 per month alimony report is "categorically untrue. That number is completely and utterly ridiculous." The rep also said, "She does not even have a nanny.''
The divorce is not a good look for Barber, who has far more to lose than his ex-wife. Also, given that they delivered twins just a month ago, he does appear to be a man abandoning his family when they need him the most. All the while, it must be remembered that none of us knows what happened in this relationship, so making him into the absolute villain for not wanting to be married is ultimately incorrect.

Well that's what you get for going out side your race to marry. I don't understand why Black men find it so hard to marry a female that looks like their mama! Oh, I forgot, Black children are not accepted in our society. Only whites and half-breeds.

you sound like an idiot. I love my race (blk) and Im proud to be it. I dont care who marrys who though. Are you saying if he married a blk woman it would be a lot nicer? Its money not a race...people are people when it comes to certain things. As far as OUR society...that may be the problem..What is OUR society? Some crap the media created that people blindly follow? Of a person with a free mind and independent choices.

All black men do not have black mothers. Our president Barack did not have a black mother and he seems to be doing well with his wife. The bottom line is people fall in love with who they fall in love with and color should not be a factor unless the individual is a racist like yourself. As far as calling people half breeds that is so hatefully and misguided. Most people in American are mixed race whether they acknowlege it or not.

What a stupid ending comment, "none of us knows what happened in this relationship, so making him into the absolute villain for not wanting to be married is ultimately incorrect." I am married and the fathe of 6 children by the same woman ... my wife." At times I don't want to be married! However, marriage is about commitment. You know, for better or "for worse!" Especially when it comes to children. How can any decent human being leave the mother of their children for another woman during the time of the child's delivery??? And we wonder why are society is in shabs. There is a Ghanian proverb I have hanging in my home. It says, "The ruin of a nation begins in the homes of its people." I don't care what was going on in their marriage. It certainly wasn't helped by him cheating on his pregnant wife with another woman. Obviously things were good enough for him to get her pregnant. He should have manned up and did the responsible thing ... I hope he pays through his nose for what he has done to his wife and to his children.

We don't need to know what happened inside this marriage. On the outside we saw an eight months pregnant wife dumped by a high profile husband, who used the wrong head to do his thinking. With all this publicity, I wonder how the children will see this. Will they see him as the villain? Will they decide they don't want daddy in their lives? She won't have to say anything negative about him or their relationship. It will be public record, in black and white. Ooops!

damn you are on your soapbox heavy. I can't stand folk who say I'd do this or that when the storm hasn't even come yet. however, these be the same people who when the spotlight is on them, they dont practice what they preach.
