Patrick Whitesell of William Morris informed Gibson's reps that he will no longer be represented by the agency. This happens to be near the same time that Gibson's longtime agent, Ed Limato, died. Limato's funeral is set to take place in New York next week.
A partner with the William Morris Agency, Ari Emanuel, had become hostile toward Gibson after the actor made derogatory statements about Jews and showed skepticism toward whether the holocaust actually occurred. Gibson upset the African American community when he was recorded telling his ex-girlfriend that she was "dressed like a pig in heat," and that "if she gets raped by a pack of n*ggers," it would be her fault.
Since his latest irrational tirade, many studio executives now claim that Gibson is untouchable in the movie industry. "I'd rather get engaged to Lindsay Lohan than have anything to do with him," said one studio head.
A spokesman for Gibson said the star had always planned to do without an agent after Limato's death. He added, "At this point, he doesn't seem to be in need of an agent." He then claimed that Gibson has projects set up for the next two years.
There is no question about the fact that Gibson has become toxic in the film industry. But he is getting older and probably doesn't care. Additionally, 'The Passion of the Christ' netted him hundreds of millions of dollars because he was one of the primary financiers of the movie, and the film did quite well. Perhaps there is one thing the black community can learn from the Gibson breakdown and the reaction by Emanuel from the William Morris Agency: If you've got economic power, almost no one can tell you what to do.
Gibson isn't worried about losing his job for what he did, since he has gobs of money and owns a great deal of his work anyway. He probably earns more by financing projects behind the scenes than most actors earn by doing three or four films a year. Emanuel's reaction to Gibson is a teachable moment because it reminds us how the Jewish community, through the mobilization of wealth, is able to take important stands when necessary. A rapper can use the N-word all day on an album and say what he wants about black women, but if he says something defamatory against the Jewish community, he'd be toast. This is not to say that one slur is better or worse than another, or one community's struggles are more or less important; it simply says that when a community is organized, mobilized, empowered and wealthy, it can make sure that its interests are protected and the group is respected. In America, money gives you the right to make your issues important.
I have yet to hear Gibson issue a public apology for his remarks, and I don't expect one. This breaks my heart because he'd always been one of my favorite actors. In fact, I still like Gibson as an actor, which doesn't mean I have to like him as a person. For most of us, that's the case with our Hollywood heroes: They are almost never the person they appear to be.

Why haven’t national media outlets reported on the vile and violent rants of the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) thugs whose 2008 voter intimidation tactics got a pass from the Obama administration? Simple: Radical black racism doesn’t fit the Hope and Change narrative. There’s no way to shoehorn Bush-bashing into the story. And, let’s face it, exposing the inflammatory rhetoric of the left does nothing to help liberal editors and reporters fulfill their true calling — embarrassing the right.
This week, Justice Department whistleblower J. Christian Adams came forward with damning public testimony about how Obama officials believe “civil rights law should not be enforced in a race-neutral manner, and should never be enforced against blacks or other national minorities.” In the wake of Adams’ expose on how the Obama DOJ abandoned default judgments against the NBPP bullies for the sake of politically correct racial politics, a shocking video clip of one of the lead defendants in the Philadelphia voter intimidation case resurfaced on the Internet. It shows bloodthirsty King Samir Shabazz during a 2009 National Geographic documentary interview spewing:
“You want freedom? You’re gonna have to kill some crackers! You’re gonna have to kill some of their babies!”
These NBPP death threats and white-bashing diatribes are nothing new to those who have tracked the black supremacy movement. In August 2009, nearly a year ago, I reported on a sign on display outside NBPP defendant (and elected member of Philadelphia’s 14th Ward Democratic Committee) Jerry Jackson’s home. It reads: “COLORED ONLY: No Whites Allowed.” In July 2009, I interviewed poll watcher/witness Christopher Hill, whom Shabazz and Jackson called “cracker” several times while Shabazz brandished his baton.
“They physically attempted to block me,” Hill recounted. He also saw a group of elderly ladies walk away from the polling site without voting while the duo preened in front of the entrance. “If you’re a poll watcher, you shouldn’t be dressed in paramilitary garb,” Hill said, as he wondered aloud at what would have happened if he had showed up in the same sort of costume.
But Mel Gibson is a racist and that's all that's important...

If White People wanted to be Black they would do it longer then James Whitmore did in a long ago movie "Black Like Me"; it took him all of maybe a week, before he went back to being White.
Some years back a young white student tried the same thing; I don't think he lasted a week. He noticed the difference in the treatment right away and up close and personal. There is no doubt in my mind, you have to be STRONG to be Black; as for myself "I love being "Black", always did and always will; and I am 70 something years old. If it wasn't for us there would be no HUMANITY in this world. I associate with all people, white, black, latino, asian, jewish, irish, get the picture?

In this article you mentioned that you have not heard a word of apology from the actor - Mel Gibson - (one of my favourite actor as well), could it be that the allegations made against him are false and therefore he has nothing to apologize for? Wow! this world we live in, when things are nice everyone is for you, but make sure you don't get into the pigpen with all your money gone, because all you will become is 'roast pork.' Whatever became of "have a little faith in the one you love?"

At least we know where Mel Gibson stands and what he really is at this moment. He hates Jew, blacks, and any other type of individual except his choice of picking. There is an old expression " Keep your friends close......AND YOUR ENEMIES CLOSER." Again, we know what he is and what he advocates. Can you imagine how man countless others are out there like him or even worse?
