Family Roots: Daughter of best-selling novelist Bebe Moore Campbell
What a Shame: Since her mother's death in 2006, Campbell has experienced a downward spiral of mental illness and substance abuse.

Name: Kim and Khloe Kardashian
Family Roots: Daughters of late O.J. Simpson lawyer Robert Kardashian
What a Shame: In 2007, Khloe Kardashian was arrested for DUI and sentenced to three years' probation. Also, that year, a sex tape made by big sis Kim and her former boyfriend, R&B singer Ray J, leaked to the public. The tape catapulted Kim to celebrity status.

Name: Montana Fishburne
Family Roots: Daughter of acclaimed actor Laurence Fishburne
What a shame: In July 2010, Fishburne made headlines after announcing that she would be following in socialite Kim Kardashian's footsteps by releasing her own sex tape.

Name: Bobbi Kristina
Family Roots: The child of R&B stars Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown (who Houston once called the king of R&B)
What a Shame: In 2007, the once precocious Bobbi Kristina raised eyebrows when she posted suggestive pictures of herself engaging in questionable activities on her MySpace page.

Name: JoJo Simmons
Family Roots: Son of hip-hop legend Joseph "Reverend Run" Simmons of Run D.M.C.
What a Shame: In May 2009, Simmons was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of marijuana and one count of resisting arrest, when he allegedly tried to ram his BMW into a cop car. He has also been slammed with two misdemeanors for criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

Name: Jamal "Shyne" Barrow
Family Roots: Son of Imeon Myvette and the Prime Minster of Belize Dean Barrow
What a Shame: After a nine-year stint for criminal use and possession of a firearm and reckless endangerment, the former Bad Boy Records rapper was released from jail in 2009.

Name: Caroline Giuliani
Family Roots: Daughter of former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani and television reporter and actress Donna Hanover
What a Shame: In August 2010, Giuliani was taken into custody at a Sephora store in New York City after allegedly stealing more than $100 worth of cosmetics.

Name: Latoya Jackson
Family Roots: Daughter of Joe Jackson and Katherine Jackson
What a Shame: Often labeled the black sheep of the Jackson family, Latoya released a tell-all book, called 'La Toya: Growing Up in the Jackson Family,' in 1991, in which she claimed (among other things) that the Jackson clan suffered physical and psychological abuse at the hands of their father.

Name: Nicole Ritchie
Family Roots: Daughter of music legend Lionel Richie
What a Shame: Before turning her life around to focus on her growing family with boyfriend and Good Charlotte front man Joel Madden, Ritchie constantly made headlines for partying and drug and alcohol abuse. In 2006, after making a splash with her gal pal Paris Hilton on the reality show 'The Simple Life,' Richie was arrested and charged with possession of heroin while driving with a suspended driver's license.

The problem with some kids from well-to-do family is that as they become accustomed to the good-life, they simultaneously expect to do nothing to maintain it. Once they become an adult that is ill-prepared to maintain the lifestyle by respectable, skill-acquired means, they turn to the next "easier" things: 1)prostitution; 2) drug sales and 3) property crimes.
If Montana has no marketable skills or talent to maintain the lifestyle her father gave her, she will turn to whatever to try to maintain it. Hey, it worked for Kim, it might work for Montana.

On Point MUNK! Your post is so true and very much correct The problem with the affluent children is that they often are not taught the value of education,hard work and morals...I do not knock Mr Fishburne's Parenting skills, But He was a child actor Himself,(Movie: Cornbread, Earl, and Mein the 70s)and probably did not have many disiplines Himself, growing up in Hollywood and having a career in the Industry at such a Young age...He also didn't have much time for raising Montana and any other Brothers and Sisters going from one film to another...The Problem is Montana was duped by a greedy and manipulative World which preys on Young Impressionable Kids in that Plastic Dream world we call Hollywood.Children of Actors Musicians,and Politicians are targets for the 'SERPENTS' that thrive on turning them on to illecit and immoral acts in the world today. The Children are led to believe it is OK to rebel against their parents and to society in general: and the more outrageous it is, the better they will be know! Who even knew who Montana was until she did this!!!She wanted Fame and Fortune(like Kim Kardashian)This is the kinda stuff they are being told!She now as of this post is in a conflict over money with her co-star in the movie.Wake Up Call Montana...In the words of a Man (MX , EHS) I admire and respect..."You been Had!!!You been Took!!!Bamboozled! Sold a Bill of Goods"! That is not even a good Prostitute!. A Good 'Ho' gets Paid!!!

Doc, Love the insight and thought you seem to put into every word. Your articles always seem to be right on point, regardless of the subject. As far as Mr. Fishburne and his daughter are concerened, I feel sorry for him and know this has to be ripping him apart inside. All I can say is when you spare the rod you spoil the child. Not sure if this is the case with the Fishburnes but it certainly appears to be that way.

I agree completely Dr. Watkins, I wish she could talk to some older female porn stars, they would tell here once her body is used up and she can't get it back, they would just throw her away. Sharon Mitchell (former porn star) is now a doctor, ask her how many rectums and vagina's she has surgically stitched back together. Maybe that sordid information would deter her. Thanks for your insight.

It bothered me that, given the fact that her father is well known, well respected, and well versed in all genres of acting, she thought of Kim Kardasian as a "star".
That shows you the level, or lack of, maturity that she has. But now she is out there for all the world to see, there is no turning back.
I pray that she does walk away from this industry, ask God to forgive her, and let the chips fall where they may (no pun intended) and maybe in time this won't be as big of a deal.
Maybe she should have spoken to Jaime Foxworth (from Family Matters). I am sure she would have advised her not to go down that road.
