Beanie Sigel
Rapper Beanie Sigel might be reprising his role as a criminal behind bars in the film 'State Property' -- but he might be in jail for real this time. AllHipHop.com is reporting that the infamous hip-hop star has been charged with tax evasion:

Rapper Beanie Sigel has been charged with tax evasion and didn't file any taxes from 2002 to 2004, according to published reports.

The charges state that the Philadelphia rapper made about $1.5 million in those two years, but didn't pay taxes.

"Federal prosecutors in Philadelphia say the entertainer, born Dwight Grant, made $1.5 million from 2002 to 2004, but filed no tax returns," said the Associated Press.

Sigel may not have intentionally failed to pay taxes, his lawyer, Fortunato N. Perri., Jr., told the Philadelphia Daily News.

Now, you would think that after aaaaaaaaaall these years in the game, living in the United States and a whole slew of other basic life experiences that Beanie Sigel would understand that you have to pay your taxes. From Wesley Snipes to Jermaine Dupri, publicly coming after black male celebrities who have not paid their taxes is a major pastime of the IRS.

And let's face it, Beanie has been on the radar for various illicit activities over the years, including failing to pay child support. So basically, the long arm of the law is just watching him and waiting for him to trip up.

Let's just hope that Beanie Sigel learns from this situation that you really can't escape Uncle Sam or the child support courts. They will come after you at all costs -- and very quickly throw your butt in jail until they get their money. The government can also go gangster. Sigel should show much respect.
