Wow this was a pretty cool story! I can't imagine if I received a hand written letter from President Obama. I would probally pass out. She must have been in real financial trouble to sell it. It would have been hard for me to sell something like that but atleast the money will go to good use.

I'm sorry if it seems to whites we are always playing the race card but damn things were bad for the middle-class and poor and I never heard of folk selling a personal from bush. How dare she make a mockery of a precious gift as a personal note from a President of the United States. I question if she would have done this if the President was white.

Come on Cleontdayiii, let's be real. Do really think someone would have paid her 7,000 dollars for a personal letter from Bush? The reason why you never heard of anyone selling hand written notes from Bush, is because for 1. He probally doesn't have the humanity to write an average citizen a note, and 2. Even is he did no one would pay any good money for it.

She could have sold that letter to a historical org. or listed it on Ebay. She wasn't very smart. She was duped by the collector who knew the real value of the letter. As an African American, I would have paid her ten times what she got for it.

There is only one person who can open prison doors and release 500 thousand non-violent African Americans, and that is Obama. It might be politically incorrect, but millions will never forget his understanding and compassion. Kareem was busted for selling a few grams of coke to an undercover cop, he is serving 4 years of a 10 year sentence. There are many African Americans like Kareem who are serving long prison terms for non-violent offenses.
As a small token of reparations for years of hardship and slavery they should all be pardoned.

im pretty sure Kareem was not a slave. and guess what, blacks are not the only people to have been enslaved. whites have been enslaved too, but you dont see us expecting reparations. you should not get payed for something that happened to distant ancestors

It is not politically incorrect. It is justice and racial equality. No white person would get this term.
