As a co-creator of the well-loved Pastry footwear collection with her sister Vanessa, Angela uses her sense of personal style as an integral part of her brand and Twitter as an important tool in her arsenal of brand promotion. What is your name and what do you do?
I'm Angela Simmons. I'm an entrepreneur and a fashion designer.


What are some of the misconceptions people have about celebrities and their money?
That because you have money you have everything. It's not easy being a celebrity. It comes with big responsibility. They make celebs out to be almost not human, but we are just like everyone else and deal with problems daily.

What surprised you the most about the financial side of your industry?
It's work. And nothing comes over night.

How has Twitter helped you in building your brand and running your business?
It helps reach out to your fans quicker and also makes promoting our brand much easier.

Do you have any financial and professional advice for aspiring celebs out there?
Yes. To stay focused and be very organized about your finances.

What upcoming projects do you have in store for us?
I have a new collection of sneakers called Box of Chocolates which is an active sneaker line by Pastry. They're available at www.LovePastry.com. And I'm also working on television projects which is super exciting.
