Wesley Snipes Jail: Is Wesley Confusing Reality With His Movies?

Wesley Snipes Jail
From The Loop 21:

Actor Wesley Snipes' real life is starting to look a lot like some of the criminal roles he's played in movies.

Snipes, who has played everything from a drug dealer to an adulturer, was ordered to a three-year jail sentence last week after losing a court appeal over a case accusing him of not paying millions of dollars in taxes.

Snipes, who blames his money woes on his accountants and tax advisers, is learning the hard way what happens when you play with the IRS.

My colleague Shanon D. Murray first wrote about Snipes and his tax problems earlier this year and outlined the penalties for not paying your taxes and how to find a good financial planner.

While fines, penalties and jail time are enough to scare anyone into paying their taxes, I am here to argue about the moral reasons to pay Uncle Sam.

America is a place where every child can attend school. It is a country with an extensive highway system that can get you to some of the most fascinating places in the world. If you fall on hard times there are programs to help you get through until you land on your feet.It is a country of beautiful national parks. It is a place that supports its public colleges and universities. We have police that keep our streets safe and a military that defends our country from terrorists. We have free trash pickup in most communities.

All of this is supported some way or other by taxes, whether it be local, state or federal.

We all know some of the programs are far from perfect. There are plenty of problems with some public schools, for instance. But taxes provide a better way of living in America than many places in the world.

Everyone in this country benefits from tax money. We all use roads. Most of us send our kids to public schools. And when people don't pay their share into the system they are being selfish.

I don't know if Snipes is guilty or not. But he denied the country millions of dollars that could have been put to good use.

Questions:
-Do you think Wesley Snipes is confusing reality with his movies in the form of criminal intent to avoid taxes?
-Was he more responsible for having better tax advisors than he will admit to?
-Do you think three years is too long of a sentence or too little?
