WASHINGTON (AP) -- The woman who told President Barack Obama that she was "exhausted" from defending him and his economic policies and waiting for the change she expected after voting for him has another reason to be put out: She's lost her job.
Velma Hart, the chief financial officer for Am Vets, a veteran services organization based in Maryland, said Monday in an interview with CNBC that she was laid off as part of the nonprofit's effort to cut expenses.

"I want to focus on the positive and be optimistic," said Hart, who lives in Upper Marlboro, Md. "And assume that somehow things will work out, that there's an opportunity out there with Velma's name on it that's right around the corner."
Am Vets executive director Jim King told The Washington Post that the nonprofit was looking for ways to survive financially.

She sounds crazy to think that President Obama has caused her to lose her job. Why did she tell Bush before he left. Bush is the cause of the bad economy. People need to wake up, Blacks are playing themself. Why tell Obama and not her governor. The governor of each state recieved money to jump start job or help keep jobs. I know Maryland has jump started jobs. She should contact here reps in Maryland. First Gov. Omally for starters. President Obama has too much on his plate to deal with one person . I wonder if she is another one being pay by the tea party.

You are right about her speaking to her Govenor. The funds that the Government gave went to each state and President Obama says that he expects those state officials to utilize the funds for the people accordingly. She does sound like she's got a screw loose. She probably thought that she was the exception from loosing her job in this economy. It amazes me how people thing that President Obama being in office for only two years will instantly change this economy. I think that she and others who agree with her are unrealistic. President Obama said that our economy was so bad when he first took office that it will take longer than four years of his first presidency for our economy to bounce back to where it needs to be.

This just politics in the making there are people who arent happy with Obamas ' adminstration and I think its the so called tea party the world is a global village and we all know what is happening Obama took on from a falling state

It was a dramatic political move designed to seize a powerful issue., McCain was hailed by conservative talk radio as a "take charge guy"... That was 60 days even before the Obama inauguration.., 2WEEKS before even taken the Oval office, the Obama administration was accused of "spending" to much.... In regard to Velma Hart's support, She took the floor & the mic and committed blatant "BETRAYAL" in front of the media... Funny her being laid off., because the same folks who patted her back, are the same folks lobbying to shorten the benefit system she contributed to in taxes during her working life... We're being "brainwashed" to ERON- ourselves because Washington has mis-managed tax payers dollars...

Denise, I am going to give you the benefit of doubt,and assume you did not see the or hear the exchange that this lady had with Pres. obama, or that you did not read her comments in this story.
At no time has this lady blame Pres. Obama or anyone else for the LOST OF HER JOB!!!! Why don't you, and all the those who are making negative comments,and even call her names, at least get your facts correct, before making a comment, this way you will avoid showing all the world, just how STUPID YOU REALLY ARE!!!!!

Hummm Intresting. I can just Imagine the same ones who laid her off was the same one she probably switched and voted for the Repbulicans.
Wow she stated she was fearful of eating "Beans and Franks " but live in UPPER Maryland huh. Well I hope she voices her opinion about the Republicans when they do not extend her unemployment benefits, but we all she not hurting at all though.

She is an idiot just like eveyone else. The President is GOD sent but he is not 'HIM'. GOD sent Jesus to help us too and it took him some time to get the message across to us, so why do people think that President Obama is going to make it happen in a short period of time with no help. Even Democrats are not allowing him to get some of the things done bc they dont want a another man with pigmentation to get more credit just like Jesus got.
