McGriff was seen coming out of the house with fur coats after the kitchen window had been broken. A neighbor also claims to have seen a laptop and three purses in McGriff's blue Jaguar. When police called the owner of the home, it was determined that she had not given McGriff permission to enter. Apparently, Agnew had spoken to McGriff shortly before the alleged robbery, telling her that she would be traveling to visit her daughter.
McGriff was treated for arm injuries after she slipped out of the first set of handcuffs and allegedly resisted arrest. She also allegedly kicked and scratched the officers while waiting in the police car. Officers also claim that McGriff used an alias when she was apprehended.
Agnew said she had mixed feelings about the incident:
"She really seemed to be this woman who had a connection with God," she said. "I still really can't believe it."
When I read about incidents like this one, I can't wait to see the LOLs and LMAOs that will surely appear on my Facebook page. This incident says nothing about the black church and is likely idiosyncratic. What can be said, however, is that there are a multitude of pastors who seek the banner of spiritual leadership primarily because they enjoy the money and prestige it brings, but they have almost no interest in understanding what it truly means to serve God. In fact, I've seen quite a few criminals, con artists, liars and crooks thump their bibles, wear fancy suits and lead large flocks solely to take advantage of those who blindly follow their spiritual leaders without asking the difficult questions.
At the same time, we have to remember that McGriff is innocent until proven guilty. She says that she was climbing through the window to catch two burglars and that she just happened to be checking on the house for her friend. Unfortunately, Agnew doesn't seem interested in hearing any of this.
There may be an explanation for this incident, but it better be a pretty darn good one. The idea of a pastor breaking into your house on Christmas is truly one of a kind. This is the opposite of traditional Christian industry and charity at the holidays.

You know it seems very funny how Dr W, even in this clear case of robbery, trys to come across of wanting to be fair and wait for all the facts. Yet when the story of Heather Ellis came on the scene and before any facts or proof(the store and police video's) where out, Dr W had the entire town painted as racist bigots who would no sooner look at some one who is black than hang them?? When in fact the Ellis case was not about an entire town, it was about Heather, the 3-4 peepz in(or worked)at wal-mart and the 2 cops. But DrW was in his hell and damnation mode and tried to show the Entire Town as this 1880 hang em up lynch em town. Again, with no facts. I was listening to Tom Joyner and Dr W was either down there or just got back. And he and Tom just laughed themselves silly when Dr W talked about how SHOCKED AND SCARED the peepz of the town looked when they saw all those "BLACKS WALKING THEIR TOWN SIDEWALKS"(Dr W's words)!! Dr W could not say enough about how they went down there and scared those whitey's with their march! And then of course after the (mostly good honest peepz that believed Ms. Ellis and Dr W foolishly) saw and heard the facts come out in court they found out that Ms Ellis was in no way treated with any racist malice. In fact most peepz that supported her were very mad that they had been fooled. She said she was man handled and called racist names as they forced her out of the store, yet the video shows the cops were not even touching her. The were simply walkin her out of the store to defuse the situation. But Ms Ellis was seen waving her arms and what seemed like yelling on her way out of the store while the 2 police officers calmly walked behind her(again not holding her at all). Then once outside with police and not able to stop her rant, the police had enough and decided there was no stopping her other than arresting her since she continued to make a scene. They went to cuff her (whether you agree w/the police or not, once they advise you that you are under arrest, it's done with and you need to go peacefully) and as the other video shows, Ms Ellis started mule kicking backwards and hitting the cops!! So when all FACTS came out in court Ms Ellis and her lawyer started re-thinkin their plan because the video's got a lot more than her or her lawyer thought. And so she took the plea deal that was originally offered to her when it all happened. So much for her wanting to get her day in court to bring out the facts! And then Dr W and the ACLU rep was moving so fast backwards that M.J. would of been impressed by their moonwalkin skills!!! Yet when the Accused is Not White, Dr W is all about waitin for the facts. Sad that it is very clear Dr W has a hate for anyone white(AND NO THERE IS NO EXCUSE AND JUSTIFICATION FOR THIS), and then when it involves some one black he sits and waits to see how it plays out, that way he can jump in at this last minute and act like he was all against the person who was at the wrong the entire time but wanted to give them a chance! HAHA!! Dr W, the more stories(and I do mean STORIES) you write the more peepz see how you operate and what you are truely about. So Please Dr W, keep writing your STORIES!! And soon peepz of all races will see what kind of person you are and then you words will fall on deaf ears!!

@mizztlove and other DW haters: All Jounalists, reporters, news media strive to be the first to break the news with sensational headlines to grab attention, and it can sometimes lead to a career advancement if the story is true.
Are there some crooked pastors who deceives their "blind"followers for personal gains(stealing in the name of the Lord)? Yes
Are there some pastors who are womanizers, cheaters and pedophiles? Yes
Are there some pastors who are drug abusers? Yes
Do they not preach against the above mentioned and other atrocities they commit? Yes

Sad how true this is. Particularly in these times and in the time of lives when grief and hardship make us the sheep so vulnerable to these church leaders.

This has all the appearances of a simple case of a she-wolf in sheep's clothing. I've heard of congregations and/or members getting fleeced by their overseers, but I can't imagine a man doing something like this. This incident takes the cake!

I AM NOT SURPRISED BY THIS INCIDENT. THERE ARE A MULTITUDE OF BAD "FLOCK" IN THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH AND JUST AS MANY BLIND "FOLLOWERS."
I know a man who calls himself a "minister," and he is irrational and ignorant, and one whom I have disregarded as a friend. His church attendence and title are labels to cover a multitude of sins.
