"We're real excited about it," said Unequal's chief executive officer Rob Vito. "Michael is good people. He paid his dues. President Obama reached out to him. He deserves an opportunity. This is what makes America so great. He's moved forward. He's a whole other person."
The contract has been defined as "sizable" by the company's executives. Vick wore a vest designed by Unequal when he came back from an injury earlier this season. He also wore shoulder and thigh pads designed by the company.
"The Unequal technology is a part of my game now and I won't play without my Unequal," Vick said in a statement. "Unequal's protective power gives me a whole new level of confidence in my game. It makes me feel invincible."
It appears that Vick is back in the business of making money and selling products again. He is similar to Magic Johnson in that both were able to reinvent themselves in such a way that their biggest news-making experience didn't serve to define them. To this day, most people barely remember that Magic Johnson was diagnosed with HIV nearly 20 years ago, and in a few years, Michael Vick's prison sentence may simply be an afterthought.
Watching Vick reclaim his stake of greatness also serves to inspire millions of formerly incarcerated Americans who deserve a second chance. President Barack Obama was wise to point out that Vick's success serves as an example of what all of us can become if given an opportunity. One can only hope that solid economic opportunities can also be provided for those who can't throw a football down the field.
The product that Vick is pitching is as perfect for him as the city in which he plays. Selling a product that relates to football means that potential customers won't likely care very much about Michael Vick's off-the-field behavior. Also, Philadelphia is the kind of town that would cheer for an ax murderer if he could win football games. The hard-nosed city with loyal fans has been incredibly gracious when it comes to giving Michael Vick another chance to shine.
It'll be interesting to see where things go from here. While it might be a while before Michael Vick reappears on the cover of another PlayStation video game, it's great to see him regain control of his life. Way to go, Mike. I'm proud of you. Please keep up the good work.

Good luck Mike...You have paid your debt to society and I'm proud of ya brotha. In the meantime, white girl Sarah Palin continues to run around the forest looking for innocent moose to kill because, SHE LIKES MOOSE BURGERS. Go figure. With all the meat on the market she still find it necessary to hunt down a moose and slaughter it. Slaughtering comes natural for some people

To all of you Mike Vick haters, I just heard on the news where a man slaughtered 100 sled dogs, hmmmm I guess he should be put to death right?
Of course he is white and now claiming he has PTSD, the company that called for the "Killing" is saying that no one told this man to cut up, shoot, and torture these animals and put them in a mass grave (seems like the sales of this particular breed of dog dropped after the Winter Olympics...so it's off with their heads...no pun intended)
So James/Cloudwalker.... I KNOW you will be there for his public hanging right? Put on your snow boots boys...we're going to Canada!

Its good to see that Mike has kept to his word on and off the field. He deserved this second chance, I am hoping he continue to have success.
Dr. Watkins, its funny how you have changed your opinion of Mike Vick I can recall very well reading an article (not that long ago) you wrote about Vick to be one of the most vicious and nasty article I had read in regards to Vick. It's refreshing to hear that you are proud of him.

Vick and his scumbag homeboys not only trained dogs to tear each other apart, they slaughtered dogs that could no longer fight by shooting them, cutting their throats, electrocuting them, and drowning them alive...all while sipping Cristal and laughing and laughing and laughing.
Michael Vick is subhuman scum, and ANYONE who supports him is just as much an ignorant savage as he is.

Just ler it go.
Dogs are not human you dumbass.
They are not little children and/or older adults and as much as you want them to be since you have an emotional and mental bond to them, they are not and will never be.
They are only animals no different than the cows and chickens that are raised, killed, prepared and you eat on a weekly basis so who gives a fuck.
Mike Vick killed dogs and not people, not the same and not as important.
He served his time, paid his dues and has redemmed himself both personally and professionally and with this superb season, he will get more endorsement deals and with get a huge big money contract from the Philly Eagles so for you James and all these other haters out there, do Mike Vick a yourself a favor: stop bitchin' and complainin' and go out and find other people in this nation who have much larger dog fighting operations in this country and bring them to justice since it seems that since Mike Vick was imprisoned NO ONE else has been caught and sent to prison for the same crime.
Mike Vick gets all the blame yet all your focus hatin' on him (since you care so much about it) allows thousands of dogs to get the killed in dog fighting everyday so why not go out and do something about it instead of worrying about Mike Vick...He is ont the only person in the world who fought dogs and he did not invent the sport.
But James you won't do that because it requires some work on your part in which you are unwilling to do along with all the other dog lovers in this country.....You can protest one person but won't rally together to prevent other offenders from doing the same...And while you sit on you ass, dogs are being killed everyday fighting...If you cared, you would do something about it but then again that's what hypocrites do.....talk loud and do nothing.
Asshole.
