Someone sent me a video that got my attention faster than you can say, "What the hayell was he thinking?" It is alleged to be a video playing the voice of the "great" Creflo Dollar, the mega pastor with more money than some people think a pastor should have. In the audio, Pastor Dollar is allegedly stating that if he were not "covered in the blood of Jesus," he would have non-tithing parishioners shot by a firing squad.
Let's be clear: It's possible that this audio was fraudulently created by someone seeking to embarrass Pastor Dollar (although it does appear to be his voice). Not everyone respects his work in ministery and someone may be seeking to sabotage him. In that regard, I invite Pastor Dollar or his staff to respond to the video with their own explanation.
With that being said, the words I heard in the audio were quite disturbing, and might articulate beliefs held by many pastors. But the idea that a multi-millionaire pastor who owns a private jet would allegedly want to murder poor people for not giving him money is clearly beyond problematic. Additionally, it leads one to question the legitimacy of any church where wealth appears to be the central theme and focus of the so-called spiritual leader -- which is true of many black megachurches.

After years as a duet with sister CeCe, BeBe Winans went solo and released a self-titled album in 1997. Gospel Artists
Yolanda Adams

Gospel Artists
Mary Mary
Sisters Erica and Tina Atkins formed gospel duo Mary Mary, named after biblical Mary Magdalene and Mary, mother of Jesus. Pastor Dollar preaches "prosperity gospel," which seems to focus on giving to the church as a way to find various forms of success (which Pastor Dollar says is about more than just money). He has a $2.5 million dollar Manhattan apartment, a Rolls Royce and quite a few other toys that most members of his congregation can't afford. Personally, I would never go to his church, but I am not one to say that he is a fraud. As a person who regularly studies the drug of capitalism (I happen to be a finance professor), I find that the dangers of fixating on money can be debilitating. Like any other drug, the constant chase for money can not only enslave you, it can also take you away from the most important things in your life.
I don't tithe in church. I've always been a firm believer that a man or woman can do God's work outside the church by helping the poor, mentoring lost children and doing what is right by others. For example, giving just a month's tithes to the dying children of Haiti would be far more impactful than paying for the fuel for Creflo Dollar's jet airplane. All the while, that's just my preference, and I would hope that if I couldn't afford to tithe to the church, I wouldn't be shot for my violation. I'm sure Jesus would still accept me, even if I were poor.

If this tape is authentic then Creflo has alot of explaining to do.
First and foremost he would have to explain to God why he is casting judgment on non-tithers when that is not his (Creflo's) job.
Secondly, he would have to explain to his parishoners who don't fully tithe (10% of your gross increase), who partially tithe, and don't tithe at all what exactly he meant by his comments.
Finally why should the members of his congregation continue supporting his ministry when it appears he is all about serving the almighty dollar instead of Almighty God?
Like I said he has alot of explaining to do.

You stupid, but you right. I rather to go Heaven from a poor church than a rich one anyway. At least my pastor will be there somewhere with me. Dollar and all his foolish members are Hell bound and they know it. Money is the root of all evil. Apparently Dollar did not read that in his Bible.

The Greek has the indefinite article, 'a', not the not the definite article 'the', in the oldest and upwards manuscripts we have.
'The love of money is a root of evil'.There are other roots of evil.
As there are keys, (plural), to the Kingdom.

Cashflow Dollar is just another evangelical con artist raking in MILLIONS in tax-free cash by selling supernatural snake-oil to the elderly, the sick, the desperate and the stupid.
That so many in the black community would send this criminal their money says as much about US as it does about HIM.

do any of you know that he doesnt collect a salary from his ministry? he is an author, speaker , and business man. funny thing is we as black people like to see everyone else of color doing well. (athletes, movie stars, musicians and rappers) and the like but not preachers. if he said it indeed its WRONG. but to label him a fraud or to speak on a biblical principle most of us in church and especially not in church know very little about is definite proof of how much we still need our minds renewed. Christ is who He says He is even if you think Creflo is not. Bottom line. we should focus our attention on learning of Him the way He said to learn of Him. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills last i checked. God aint broke why should we be?

Creflo and Leroy visited the church I attended where our pastor, his wife, ministers, the accountant, deacons and their wives STOLE our money! It is so sad for these pastors to live large like this. There should be a cap. The abundance should go back into the ministry to help the needed.

I hate when people speak out of ignorance.Do your research before you make comments. Give the man the benefit of the doubt. I follow Pastor Dollar on his daily broadcast and from his teaqching I have grown so much in my spiritual walk from his teachings, which is taken from scripture. Idont understand why every one thinks that a man of God can't have abundance. Read your word. Thats why we dont know ,we dont read the word. Check out his daily broadcasst and then tell me its only prosperity gospel.
