
In January, Fortune released its annual "Best Companies to Work For" list. CNNMoney.com revisits this list by highlighting three of those ranking companies to pinpoint why included employers have "happy campers" or satisfied employees.
CNNMoney profiles online footwear store Zappos, film production company DreamWorks Animation and nonprofit organization Teach for America, which ranks 82nd. Below, see why these companies stand out among the rest:
Loyalty: Even with the recession, Zappos and DreamWorks made the decision to retain their staff rather than give in to layoffs. One of Zappos' mottos is "cut everything except people."
Perks: Almost all the companies that made Fortune's list were generous when it came to the taking care of their employees. At Zappos, employees get free lunches and snacks, while DreamWorkers' staff get free dry cleaning and medical care.
Flexibility: At Teach for America, staff is allowed to work from home irrespective of where they live.

When you're looking for a job, it pays to do some research and get a sense of the work environment. In other words, if you find yourself interviewing at a particular company, just a little homework can enable you to interview them too.
Beyond the health benefits a company offers, check to see whether loyalty, flexibility and perks are a part of the company culture. It can make all the difference.

That used to be the Japanese model too: taking care of employees. It appears happy, productive workers are more loyal and, more than likely, promote the company.

Once upon a time American workers in general, were very, very, happy. And then one miserable day in November all that happiness was gone forever. It was the first Tuesday after the first Monday on this cold November day, in 1981. When this uncaring, egocentric individual, who did not have one ounce of compassionation, for working class hard, working Americans. He destroyed Labor Unions, increase the age on social security from 62 to 67, and passed economic policies that only less than 1% of the riches Americans benefited from. His policies had most Americans belief that once the rich become RICHER the money will just trickle down to the hard American class in abundance. But that did not happen, his rich family trickle all the good paying jobs oversea, and called it outsourcing. Save THE AMERICAN WORKER, ASK CONGRESS TO REVERSE ALL THE ECOMONIC POLICIES ENACTED DURING THAT ADMINSTRATION. HAVE THE RICH PAY THEIR "FAIR SHARE" OF TAXES. GENERAL ELECTRIC IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE 14 BILLION DOLLARS IN PROFIT AND NOT HAVE TO PAY ANY TAXES. AWKE UP AMERICA, ITS ALREADY TOOOOOO LATTTTTEEEE !

A lot of employers don't follow the Biblical precept "The servant is worthy of his hire". Such employers want you to run around like a jackass performing all of these duties then don't want to pay you for them. This causes the morale in the company to be low. That's why I retired from my job because I REFUSE to work for anymore employers who don't value their employees. Employers need to learn that you get what you pay out and when you ain't paying out ain't nobody working for ya!!!
