The New York Times: It's getting harder to say that this is just temporary.
For the second month in a row, employers added a dismally small number of jobs, showing that the United States economy is barely creaking along despite being two years into the official recovery.
With all levels of government laying off workers, the Labor Department reported that employers eked out just 18,000 new nonfarm payroll jobs in June. The already low number of jobs created in May was also revised downward to just 25,000, less than half what was originally reported last month.

So is anyone a mind reader, or can predict the future? We don't know what's going to be happening a year from now. And quite frankly I don't know why this question is even being asked at this time. Give it a rest!!

unemployment is going to rise or fall no matter who was or is the president. unemployment goes up when big companies lay off, unemployment goes up when the unemployed benefit runs out and people have to start looking for jobs. unemployment goes up after summer job expires. unemployment goes up because of high school and college graduates looking for jobs and filling out application.
unemployment goes down because the unemployed stopped looking for work once they start getting their unemployment benefits. unemployment goes down because of available summer jobs. unemployment goes down simply because business are hiring.
if president obama was not the president, i don't think it would have made any different in the unemployment rate. these rate would have gone up and the economy would have gotten worst because of the last eight years of administration. the iraq and afghanistan war diverted american's attention from the seriousness of this matter.
the american people need to tell our government to get their act together or loose their jobs. we will vote them all out of office and replace them with new blood and fresh thinking politicians.
republicans stop trying to protect the million and billion dollars rich. are they paying you to be stubborn. are you thinking only of yourself and your well being. if you are, then you are not serving the american people.
