The adventures of Mimi aren't all about her life as a wife to actor Nick Cannon and mom to almost three-month-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe. Mariah Carey debuted a new collection of fashion, jewelry, shoes, and fragrances in a two-hour spot on HSN last night, which also showcased the songstress' comic relief.
Matt Cherette at Gawker highlighted some of Carey's best HSN moments, including a bevy of complaints about the horrible pregnancy she had, carrying the twins for forty-seven weeks, and the "math involved" in keeping up with the cameras on set.
"I'm kind of proud of myself. I really am -- sorry, pregnant with twins is different than anything!" she said. "[People] were always saying to me, 'Oh, but it's all worth it!' Yeah, but it's easy to say when you're not the one whose feet are this big!" Her many asides kept the focus more on herself than on the products she designed -- glitzy jewelry and handbags, velour sweatsuits, and strappy metallic heels.
Carey hasn't been seen much in public since she gave birth to twins and we couldn't imagine a more entertaining comeback.

I'm not going to say that I wasn't surprised, but as I listened to her, I just had to chuckle. Yes, she talked about the pregnancy, and her delivery, and CMON NOW! LOL She's just a brand new Mom. Every woman alive, who's just had a baby is focused and has a need to talk about the details of her pregnancy and the things about delivery. I admit I was surprised to hear her at first, but then .. Mariah was just being a brand new mom, full of wonder and details she'd never imagined prior to her experience. Remember that she's an only child, she didn't have a sister to watch or tell her what to expect. She's a happy new mother, in love with her life, in love with her husband, and there's not a woman alive who's any different! She was full of her experience, hoping to get her figure back. Leave her alone and don't judge and condemn her for being in awe of the experience of pregnancy and having her babies. Be happy for them, what the hell? Yes, it was a surprise to hear some of it..so what? Bless their hearts, I'll just hope they can hold onto all that love and awe. Am I a new mom? Noooooo, I'm almost 60, but I remember what it was like at that point in life.

And what celebrity wouldn't have a nanny? If you had the money, you would too! People out there that are not even 1/8 as famous as her have nannies raising their children so why slam her for it?? Right, she is such as diva that she cut off her nails because of the twins ?! Sounds like if the nannies were doing everything she would still have her perfectly manicured, long nails. Don't be a hater because because she is successful enough to afford the things you can't. I don't know of any mother who could afford to hire help not doing so based on society's expectation that she should handle it all herself. I don't know of any mother with multiples refusing help at some point--especially when there are more than two. Get over yourself and stop hating. Every celebrity with even ONE child has help. I don't need to document it here, do a Google search and you will see for yourself....SMDH

Yeah, no kidding. I hate these women who think they are the only ones who have ever gone through this extreme sacrifice of having a baby or babies in her case. So totally self absorbed. She really takes this diva thing a bit far.

I thought the same when she got pregnant. I liked her when I was younger, and then I realized how selfish she is. How many people have a breakdown and make sure everyone knows about it?

stop hatin'...she has always been dizzy. i for one don't understand why she is doing this...forbes has her listed as having over 500 million dollars...wtf? 1/2 billion bucks should hold her over.

I'm not positive this makes me want to BUY something...it does, however, make me want to NEVER be pregnant. It seems to zap brain cells (I've had three, and I'm done).
