The adventures of Mimi aren't all about her life as a wife to actor Nick Cannon and mom to almost three-month-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe. Mariah Carey debuted a new collection of fashion, jewelry, shoes, and fragrances in a two-hour spot on HSN last night, which also showcased the songstress' comic relief.
Matt Cherette at Gawker highlighted some of Carey's best HSN moments, including a bevy of complaints about the horrible pregnancy she had, carrying the twins for forty-seven weeks, and the "math involved" in keeping up with the cameras on set.
"I'm kind of proud of myself. I really am -- sorry, pregnant with twins is different than anything!" she said. "[People] were always saying to me, 'Oh, but it's all worth it!' Yeah, but it's easy to say when you're not the one whose feet are this big!" Her many asides kept the focus more on herself than on the products she designed -- glitzy jewelry and handbags, velour sweatsuits, and strappy metallic heels.
Carey hasn't been seen much in public since she gave birth to twins and we couldn't imagine a more entertaining comeback.

Whats the problem she was just hanging out talking about a couple of her products. She was just being human and not putting on a fake persona.

She sounded like she was having fun. What's the big deal about her being on the show talking about herself and what she did while designing the line. Yes she RECENTLY had twins and wants to talk about them on the show, SO WHAT!!! HSN should be glad/lucky to have such a big celebrity on it. Love you Mimi....

I thought this compilation was hilarious. Very natural and she seemed to be having fun playing the diva. I agree with what some others pointed out. She was probably tired, possibly nervous. And who knows, maybe she's on some prescribed meds for something. After her output in the 90s, that woman can be as loony as she wants to be as far as I'm concerned. I remember riding into Chicago on a Saturday night with the top down and Vision of Love blaring from the speakers. Back in the day no one could beat those five octaves. And she writes her songs!

I think you all are crazy for hatting on a woman who is on her game. I am a full believer that hatting is ugly and only ugly people hate. if you do not like the person or star how about change the channel. i think it rude and cruel and bully to write mean hatful stuff on people. It is your opinion true and in america we have freedom of speach. but hate crime is a hate crime just because she is a singer/actor does not give anyone the right to put them down. I can not follow around my doctor for he mad me asseble to him or my lawcare man for he come to my house or teachers for they teach me. just beacuse you love or hate them does not give anyone the right to slander anyone you want. all be cause you are a hatter

Humor me folks for a sec. I'm stunned at the negativity. Went 14 pages into it and had to stop. Some guy even made a "she can't decide whether to act black or white" comment and nobody jumped on him for that *ish bcuz they were so focused on bashing Mariah Carey. How'd that get by you? Here's my theory: [WARNING, IT WILL SOUND CRAZY] Anybody with a neutral or positive comment towards her, do you happen to have "natural hair"? I'm betting you do. Anybody with particularly bitchy and hateful comments, do you happen to have chemically treated (relaxed)hair? I'm betting you do. I'd gotten so used to the PEACE AND LOVE SUPPORTIVE vibe generating from the natural hair community on youtube that i'd ACTUALLY FORGOTTEN how it REALLY is with us. So, serious question, how much do chemicals entering our blood stream thru our scalps effect our behavior? I mean, there could really be a connection, no? Something to think about. Hitler used chemicals in water supply to make docile victims. Maybe lye and such makes for hostility? Peace.
